Officer. Business Owner. Neighbor. Bringing years of public service, business leadership, and real-world experience to Pickerington's future.
Pickerington is growing, and with that growth comes both opportunity and responsibility. I'm running for City Council because I believe we can protect what makes Pickerington a great place to live while preparing responsibly for the future. That means keeping our community safe, managing growth wisely, strengthening infrastructure, protecting taxpayer dollars, and making sure residents have a meaningful voice in the decisions shaping our city.
Pickerington should grow with a plan. These priorities focus on protecting quality of life, keeping essential services strong, managing public dollars carefully, and making sure residents have a voice in the city's future.
Support development that fits our neighborhoods, protects green space, and ensures growth contributes its fair share toward the infrastructure and services it requires.
Keep police, fire, and emergency services prepared for a growing community by supporting appropriate staffing, modern training, reliable equipment, and strong relationships between first responders and the residents they serve.
Plan road and intersection improvements ahead of growth, improve traffic flow and safer routes to schools, and make sure utilities and public infrastructure keep pace with development.
Scrutinize city spending, prioritize core services, plan for long-term costs, and pursue available outside grants and partnerships before asking residents to shoulder more of the burden.
Provide plain-language explanations of major votes, accessible meeting information, and meaningful opportunities for residents to weigh in before major decisions are made.
I came to Ohio as part of a refugee family and found opportunity through education, service, and hard work. My career has centered on protecting people, creating jobs, serving families, and leading organizations where accountability and responsible decision-making matter every day.
In 2010, I was sworn in as an Ohio peace officer. I've served Ohio communities ever since — patrol, traffic enforcement, investigations, and court testimony — and I currently serve part-time with the Village of Valleyview Police Department.
In 2013, I founded National Patrol Services, a Columbus-based security firm now licensed in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, Texas, and Florida. We protect government buildings, healthcare facilities, and institutions. Running a business through payroll, contracts, insurance, and multi-state regulation teaches you what a budget really means.
I also founded a K–12 public charter school serving Columbus-area families, spent years as an interpreter and liaison helping immigrant and refugee families navigate our schools, and have led community organizations since 2004. In 2024, I earned my Doctor of Healthcare Administration from Virginia University of Lynchburg.
My family and I are raising our children in Pickerington. I want to bring my experience in public safety, business, real estate, and community service to the practical decisions that shape our city's future.
A background spanning public safety, business leadership, education, nonprofit and community service, and healthcare administration — experience I will bring to serving Pickerington.
